Strong IgD immunostain highlights the thickened mantle zone surrounding the atretic germinal centre. Note the double germinal center encased within a single mantle zone, also called "twinning". This is also a frequent finding in HVCD where there is prominent obliteration of the sinuses within the paracortex with prominence of high endothelial venules.
