27-year-old patient from Cote d'Ivoire known to have sickle cell anemia who presented with suspicious lesions of cutaneous leishmaniasis having benefited from a blood smear objectifying trophozoites of Plasmodium falciparum:

1. The first image: red blood cell containing a trophozoite in the shape of an Arab Bracelet.
2. The second image: red blood cell containing two trophozoites in the shape of a kitten ring.
