The neoplastic features of these cells are most evident in this image. The cells have extensive agranular basophilic cytoplasm, variability in nuclear contours and one or more prominent nucleoli. A mitotic figure is also noted. A subsequent gastric biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in this patient.
