Pleural fluid from a 37-year-old male with a diagnosis of AIDS is shown. A wide spectrum of cellular morphology is noted with small to large immunoblastic and anaplastic forms present. On flow cytometric analysis the cells were CD45-positive but negative for all B- and T-cell markers.
